Coventry Building Workshop Ltd is experienced in providing training at all levels ranging from beginners to those in the industry wishing to upgrade their skills or gain professional qualifications. We run a comprehensive range of courses at our facility in Crondal Road, Exhall, recognised by all of the relevant awarding bodies; City & Guilds, BPEC and EAL. Our professional instructors and assessors are CRB checked, qualified and experienced tradesman.
We offer training in each of the following:
- Tiling
- Bricklaying
- Plastering
- Kitchen fitting
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Motor Mechanics
Bespoke courses can be structured to suit the needs of the learners. Every course is enhanced by the production of a portfolio of photographic evidence. Taster sessions help learners to decide which trade they would like to specialise in. Basic skills courses can form part of a diploma or lead to an EAL or IMI qualification, for example NVQ in plumbing or construction multi-skills, IMI Entry Level Certificate for the Introduction to Vehicle Technology.
We are currently offering the following qualifications to young adults from our purpose built facility in Bayton rd, Exhall, Coventry.
- IMIAL Entry Level Certificate for the introduction to vehicle technology
- IMIAL Entry Level Award for the introduction to vehicle technology
- IMIAL Entry Level Diploma for the introduction to vehicle technology
- NVQ level 1 plumbing pipe fitting
- NVQ level 1 Multi skills
- City and Guilds 6129
We are also experienced and able to deliver the practical training and portfolio work for all of the NOCN (National Open College Network) construction qualifications. We can also assist schools in providing all aspects of training to fit in with the new diplomas in construction.
Health and Safety training is available to compliment the practical courses and in preparation for the CSCS card examination which will be taken in our Prometric CITB computer suite.
Coventry Building Workshop partners North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, Nicholas Chamberlain School, Brooke School and the Early Intervention Service, previously known as The Keresley Reintegration Unit (PRU), to provide practical training for young people.
