Coventry Building Workshop has designed this Woodwork Course to introduce you the Carpentry & Joinery trade and all the basic Carpentry skills through our Hands-on Woodwork Training.

Once you have completed this Joinery & Carpentry Course you will have enough carpentry skills to complete basic woodwork like building a stud wall and fixing and fitting a door frame in there. In our approved training centre facility you will have a Hands-on Woodwork Training experience of how it looks like to be a carpenter working in the Carpentry & Joinery trade. It is a good start to become a carpenter. On this Carpentry & Joinery Course you will be given your own woodwork area and you will be trained to the trick of Carpentry & Joinery Trade that will enable you to get a professional finish on all of your woodwork.

 

Who is this Carpentry & Joinery Course for?

This Woodwork Course is introducing the Carpentry and Joinery trade to people who are wishing to pursue a Carpentry & Joinery career and become a carpenter and need to know how it looks like by some basic Carpentry & Joinery training. This week Woodwork Course covers the following Carpentry & Joinery training topics:

  • Knowing your Carpentry tools and how to use them correctly
  • You will construct a Carpentry work horse and saw block which you can use on the Joinery & Carpentry Course
  • Build a stud wall
  • Fix a door frame into your stud wall
  • Learn how to hang a door and fit a door handle
  • How to cut and fix skirting boards and architrave
  • Build a loft hatch
  • Fit a newel post, hand rail and spindles to a stair case

 

Outcome of the Woodwork Training

By the end of your Carpentry & Joinery training you will receive an In house Woodwork Course certificate of competence from our approved training centre will be provided for your portfolio.

However, as training providers the most important thing for us is that by
the end of the Joinery & Carpentry Course we are going to build your confidence starting doing your own woodwork or any other DIY Carpentry projects.
